In Ontario, all snowmobile operators who are at least 12 years of age and under 16, you are required to take an Ontario-approved Snowmobile Safety Course and obtain a Motorized Snow Vehicle Operator’s Licence (MSVOL) before riding on public lands. You also need your MSVOL if you are 16 years of age and older but do not possess a valid Ontario drivers license. Online training and certification is now available through The Ontario Snowmobile Safety Course, and is approved by the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.
